Dear Elders and Colleagues, once again I bring you great news from the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (CoMUI). Dr. Chinedu Elvis Nwaduru, MBBS graduating Class of 2019 has been awarded a Clarendon Scholarship to study on a Masters in Immunology programme at the University of Oxford.
Dr. Nwaduru had distinguished himself during his time in CoMUI, where he won the prestigious Provost’s Award for Excellent Community Participation and Leadership.
Chinedu hopes to explore the possibilities of xenotransplantation with specific genetic modification and immunosuppressive therapy as a surgeon-scientist. He currently works as the Senior House Officer at the Saint Nicholas Hospitals, Lagos. It is an absolute delight to see so many of CoMUI’s alumni obtain prestigious awards and accolades. Let us continue to bring in the very best and nurture them to excel. Congratulations to Dr. Nwaduru, his parents, MBBS Class of 2019 teachers & CoMUI!
