Biography:

Dr. Ademola (nee Olaniyan) is a molecular biologist who is interested in the immunogenetics of infectious and non-infectious diseases. She obtained a PhD in Cell Biology & Genetics from the University of Ibadan in 2012. Dr. Subulade Ademola utilized several scholarship opportunities during her postgraduate studies. She interacted with international scientists at the Stockholm University and the Medical Research Council (MRC) Laboratories in the Gambia. Subulade Ademola currently works as a research fellow in the Institute of Child Health, University of Ibadan. She is a member of several academic bodies such as the African Society of Human Genetics, Zoological Society of Nigeria and Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World. She has served successfully on several committees in the University and she has successfully supervised postgraduate students’ research over the years. Currently coordinates a number of postgraduate courses in the Institute of Child Health and she is also the examination officer (2015 till date).
Over the years, she had undergone training in International institutions like Wellcome Trust Genome Campus, UK, Stockholm University, Sweden, the Medical Research Council (MRC) Laboratories in the Gambia, Partec Offices in France and Germany among others; and learnt useful techniques for her career development. These opportunities have provided several sound platforms for her to acquire skills in research methods and in molecular biology.
