On behalf of Management, staff and students of the College of Medicine, I write to express profound gratitude to the underlisted individuals and associations for the prompt response and kind donation of several litres of diesel to power the generator at Alexander Brown Hall (ABH) and thereby assuage the challenging conditions being experienced by our students in the hall due to the disconnection of power supply to the University College Hospital and College of Medicine by Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC):
- A Donor from Department of Surgery
- Ibadan College of Medicine Alumni Association (ICOMAA)
- Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWA), Oyo State Chapter
- Temitope Ilori, Director General, National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA)
- Olakunle Akinboboye, Medical Director Laurelton Heart Specialist P.C, New York, USA
The dedication and unwavering support of the mentioned Associations and other well-meaning individuals over the years is truly admirable, exemplifying the strong bond between the College and its alumni and constituencies. I pray that the Good Lord bless and reward your good works.
Permit me to use this opportunity to solicit further support in this regard especially towards the provision of solar powered pumping machines for the Alexander Brown Hall and alternative sources of renewable power generation to the different units and buildings in the College.
Again, I say thank you for your steadfast support
