PHILIP O. OZUAH, M.D., PHD, REUNITES WITH CLASSMATES OF THE MBBS/BDS CLASS OF 1985 AT THEIR 40TH REUNION AND COMMISSIONS STUDENT HOSTEL BLOCK HE FUNDED

The Philip O. Ozuah Block is the first of six blocks of the Hostel Building Project of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, spearheaded by the Ibadan College of Medicine Alumni Association, to be commissioned!

Philip has not been in this compound in forty years...

Those were the words of the 12th and immediate past provost of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Professor Olayinka Omigbodun FAS, as she invited members of her MBBS/BDS Class of 1985 to take a group picture with Dr. Philip Ozuah after his lecture titled "A Medical Journey". The event took place at the Paul Hendrickse Lecture Theatre, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, within the University College Hospital premises.

In his Opening Remarks as the Chairman of the occasion, the Provost of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Professor Temidayo Ogundiran FAS, represented by the Deputy Provost, Venerable Professor S. B. Olaleye, extolled the virtues of Dr. Philip O. Ozuah, the funder and Keynote Speaker of the day. The Provost articulated the “resilience, excellence, and enduring legacy” of Dr. Ozuah and the significance of the building he gave towards the advancement of medical education in Nigeria.
