I greet our dear Elders, Teachers, and Living Legends, who laid the Foundation for the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (CoMUI) for us, so that we can thrive around the world.
I thank the leaders of our great institutions, the University of Ibadan and the University College Hospital, Ibadan for ensuring that CoMUI receives the very best from your kind hands and blessed hearts.
I salute our great alumni around the world who have reached out in unquantifiable ways to ensure we continue to thrive.
I thank our donors who God had used in immeasurably ways to ensure that we pulled through this year.
I especially acknowledge the donors to the Student Hostel Project for enabling the work on site to progress and the donors to the Sponsor A Student programme (SASP) who ensured that indigent students were able to remain in school.
I extend special thanks to all members of the Building Committee, ably led by the Co-Chairs, the President of the Ibadan College of Medicine Alumni Association Worldwide (ICOMAA WW), the Project Advisor, the Secretary and all who are making personal sacrifices each day to ensure the student hostel project is on course.
I extend my deep appreciation to the Executive Committee, Heads of Departments and Units, Directors of Institutes and Centres, and every single member of staff of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (CoMUI); despite all the difficulties you keep working hard each day to make a difference.
Our dear students are simply the Best of the Best and you make us so proud as you excel.
I am grateful to all my friends and family, and to everyone that has supported us in CoMUI.
I extend my sincere gratitude for the collective efforts and unwavering dedication that defined our shared journey in 2023. The challenges we faced this past year have only fortified our resolve, and our celebrated achievements underscore the resilience of our community.
Together, let us continue to be Beacons of Hope for our community and to our nation.
