Biography:

Dr. Gbolahan is a reader in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery faculty of Dentistry. He had his basic Dental Education at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and graduated in 1992. After the one-year internship and the compulsory National Youth Service Corps in 1993 and 1994 respectively, he worked in private practice between 1995 and 2001.  He subsequently proceeded to do the residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital complex and obtained the fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons in 2007.  Afterwards, he took up a lecturing job at the University of Ibadan in 2010 and was promoted to the grade of reader on October 1, 2019. He was a recipient of the AOCMF fellowship at the University Hospital Birmingham, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, United Kingdom in 2019.  His areas of clinical and research interest are Temporomandibular joint diseases, oncology and traumatology. He has published over 70 journal articles.

Dr. Gbolahan is also a honourary consultant to the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
