Within the walls of the esteemed College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Dr. Mabel A. Charles-Davies holds the position of Senior Lecturer in the Endocrine Unit of the Department of Chemical Pathology, which is in the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences. Additionally, she fulfils her responsibilities at the University College Hospital in Ibadan. Her passion for research ignited her interest in immune-endocrine interactions in Reproductive Health and Diseases. Recently, she delved into the captivating exploration of how the environment influences these complex interactions.
But Dr. Charles-Davies's impact extended far beyond the academic realm. In her earlier days, she held the position of General Manager at Immunoassay Laboratories (Nig.) Ltd., which later transformed into the renowned Clina Lancet Laboratories Nigeria. Her pioneering efforts in clinical hormone assay in Nigeria brought her well-deserved recognition and respect.
