Dear Madam President Modupe A. Sokunbi and the new Executive Committee Members of ICOMAA-NA, 2024 – 2026:
I, on behalf of the Students and Staff of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, congratulate you on your election and assumption of duty as the team to run the affairs of this unique association in North America over the next two years. Thank you for offering yourselves to serve and for your willingness to take on this onerous responsibility of leading the foremost alumni branch of our College in North America
It is a thing of delight to note that our alumni community, the Ibadan College of Medicine Alumni Association (ICOMAA), has become a reflection of diligence, resilience and excellence. Each one of us is the embodiment of the vision of the forebears of our great college. In appreciation of what we have received, our community has evolved over the years to become pivotal to providing incredible support, in numerous ways, to our alma mater. Indeed, ICOMAA has become progressively strengthened, facilitating remarkable progress and innovation for the students and staff of our dear college. In all these, ICOMAA-NA stands tall and shoulder high, thanks to all the previous executives, and all members of the association. I congratulate the immediate past executive committee ably led by my classmate and friend, Dr Abraham Ariyo for a successful and impactful tenure.
Madam President, going by your antecedents, your robust credentials and those of your team, and your personal and family commitments and contributions to ICOMAA-NA and the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, I believe that the association will witness continuing remarkable progress and successes over the next two years. I wish you a most fulfilling tenure and pray God grants you and your team peace, grace, and good health. Amen.
