Biography:

I was born at Ilesa in Osun State on 23rd December, 1959. I started my primary education at St’ Luke Demonstration School, Molete, Ibadan  from January 1966 to 1967. Thereafter went to St’ Mathaias Primary School, Akure from 1968 to 1969. I then proceeded to Emmanuel Primary School at Ado-Ekiti from 1970 to 1971. I gained admission to Christ’s School Ado-Ekiti for my secondary education from 1972 to 1976. I also had my Higher School certificate in the same school from 1977 to 1979.

I gained admission to University of Ibadan in 1979 through preliminary studies to study Medicine and Surgery. I graduated in September 1984 with MBBS degree. I had my Housemanship at Adeoye Specialist Hospital from 1984 to 1985. I then proceeded to Kwara State for the National Youth Service year at Offa General Hospital.

I work with, Oyo State as Medical Officer after my NYSC year and was posted to Eruwa General Hospital. I was in Eruwa  from1986 to 1987. I was transferred to Oni Memorial Children Hospital in 1988 from where I decided to join University College Hospital for my Residency in 1989.

I commenced my residency in Radiation Oncology in 1989 and successfully Concluded the program in 1994, because I still had 1 year   left in the residency I served as Senior Registrar in the Department before I was appointed as Lecturer 1 in the College of Medicine University of Ibadan and Consultant to University College Hospital in !995. I rose through the ranks to be promoted to the level of Professor with effect from 1st October 2014. My areas of research interests have been, Breast Cancers, Head and Neck, Palliative Care and Psycho-Oncology.
