Valedictorian of the Physiotherapy graduating class of 2018 received an award for a full Scholarship to study at Yale University

Distinguished members of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (CoMUI) Community, join me to congratulate Similoluwa Odetola, Valedictorian of the Physiotherapy graduating class of 2018. She has received an award for a full Scholarship to study at Yale University. During her undergraduate years in CoMUI, she founded two non-profit organizations.

She will study to obtain a Masters in Public Health in Health Care Management at the Yale School of Public Health. Similoluwa is currently employed as a Program Associate at PharmAccess Foundation, an international non-profit organization working to make health systems work across Africa. She plans to become better equipped to find sustainable solutions to some of Africa’s most pressing concerns in healthcare. We remain hopeful that she and the several distinguished CoMUI alumni in the Diaspora will someday return to the Nation for the much-expected season of rapid growth and development.
