Thereafter, underwent the mandatory one year housemanship at Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital, Abuja and was a national youth service corps member at the Federal medical centre Jalingo, Taraba State.

On completion of the National youth Service, returned to Ibadan to commence a postgraduate training at the University College Hospital Ibadan. In 2013, I obtained Fellowship in Ophthalmology in both the National Postgraduate Medical College off Nigeria and West African College of Surgeons; winning the price for the best candidate in Ophthalmology of both the Part 1 and 2 examinations of the West African College of Surgeons.
