As we embark on 2025, the Global Sponsor a Student Program (G-SASP) Board celebrates the transformative strides made in ensuring that no student at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (CoMUI) is held back due to financial hardship.
Guided by the ACEIT framework—Awareness, Continuity, Empowerment, Inspiring Trust, and Transparency—our commitment remains steadfast.
This initiative, inspired by the visionary leadership of Prof. Olayinka Omigbodun, the first female Provost of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, in 2021, has grown into a collaborative effort driven by the support of alumni worldwide. Since its Global inauguration on July 13, 2024, under the administration of the Ibadan College of Medicine Alumni Association (ICOMAA), G-SASP has continued to flourish as a beacon of hope for students.
Equally vital to this mission is the unwavering support of the current Provost, Prof. Temidayo Ogundiran, who has integrated the G-SASP into his transformative S7 Agenda. His commitment to student welfare and empowerment has fortified the program’s foundation and propelled its vision for a brighter future.
