VIII    Details of Teaching/Work Experience

My teaching experience with undergraduates at the university level began in 2009 when I started taking medical students of the University of Ibadan practical classes, tutorial sessions and post-mortem demonstrations in the Department of Pathology, University College Hospital during my residency training programme. These practical classes involved slide demonstrations and teaching sessions as well as museum pots teaching sessions on gross anatomical Pathology. My teaching experience continued when I was appointed as a Lecturer I in the Department of Histopathology, Babcock University, in September 2015. Since then, I have continued to teach Pathology at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level to medical students, resident doctors, Nursing students, Anatomy students. The teaching of medical students involved a continual series of block posting lecture sessions, coordination of interactive tutorial sessions, teaching at seminars, practical classes and autopsy demonstration sessions. I was appointed by the University of Ibadan as Lecturer I in August, 2018 and have since then continued to teach Pathology at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level to medical students, resident doctors, MSc (Forensic Medicine) and medical laboratory science students. I have also taught Pathology to nurse tutors of University College Hospital since 2018. I was an Examiner of medical students and nursing students in Pathology at the Babcock University from 2015 to 2018. I have been an Examiner of medical students and medical laboratory science students in Pathology at the University of Ibadan since 2018. I also lecture at the yearly Postgraduate update/revision courses of the West African Postgraduate College of Physicians, Faculty of Laboratory Medicine. As a Consultant Pathologist in the University College Hospital, Ibadan. I participate in the postgraduate training of resident doctors in Laboratory Medicine. This is accomplished through the daily supervision of routine autopsy and surgical pathology services in the hospital and departmental residency training activities including slide conferences, seminars and autopsy and neuropathology demonstrations. I have also supervised two postgraduate students in Histopathology.
