General Update on the Project Site

Reports of Meetings Held

The consultant architect presided over the meeting in which the contractors gave progress reports on each building where they handled the construction. The contractors were urged to double their efforts towards the building construction.

Site Construction Activities
Block C (Philip Ozuah Block) as of 22nd January, 2024.

Update: The contractor stated that the concrete columns' casting continued on site along with bending the steel reinforcements and making form works for the beams of the first-floor slab. The fabrication of the aluminum window elements is ongoing.

The Situation with Timeline:

As of the 15th- 20th of January, the casting of the reinforced concrete columns has reached 60% completion.

Block D (TY Danjuma Block) as of 22nd January, 2024.

Update: There is no construction activity on the block. The contractor stated that the expectation of revised drawings and delivery of some building materials to the site stalled the work. The contractor continues mobilizing to the site while sand filling to prepare a base for the raft foundation. The sand filling of the site continues in preparation for the foundation work. The sideboard of the site was completed.

The situation with Timeline:

As of the 15th- 20th of January, the casting of the reinforced concrete columns has reached 60% completion.

 

Block F (Alumni Block) as of 22nd January, 2024.
Update: The contractor stated that the transfer of dimensions to the setting out profiles for the commencement of the foundation excavation work is being carried out. The site clearing and mobilization continue. The contractor also stated that the excavation would commence after the mobilization.
The situation with Timeline:
As of the 15th- 20th of January, the commenced excavation work of the foundation base is still ongoing. It has reached 45% completion.
