Construction Activity Reporting Schedule

Date: 11th May 2024.

Site Construction Activities

Block C (Philip Ozuah Block)

Update: The construction work has reached the second floor of the superstructure with the completion of the casting of the floor slab commenced in the course of the week. The partitioning block wall block laying work has reached the lintel level, and the steel reinforcements of the lintel are being put in place.

As of the 6th of May - 10th of May, the steel reinforcement has reached 40% completion.

Challenges: Due to the scarcity of cement, there were delays, but the contractors are working hard to cover for lost time.

Block D (TY Danjuma Block)

Update: The construction work on this block is still at the oversite concrete level of the ground floor with the casting of the slab at 60% completion. Steel reinforcements of the concrete columns that will support the first-floor slab are also being raised and formwork is ongoing.

As of the 6th of May - the 10th of May, the casting of the slab is at 60% completion.

Challenges: There have been no significant challenges in the construction works of this block.

Block F (Alumni Block)

Update: The construction work has reached the first-floor level of the superstructure as the supporting reinforced concrete columns for the slab have been casted and the formwork for the floor slab is being made.

As of the 6th of May - 10th of May, the formwork of the floor slab is ongoing.

Challenges: There have been no significant challenges in the construction works of this block.
