Construction Activity Reporting Schedule: 26th Report

Site Construction Activities

Block C (Philip Ozuah Block)

Update: The superstructure stage of the building has reached the making of the formwork for the third-floor slab. The steel reinforcement and electrical/mechanical sleeves placement on the formwork have commenced. On the ground and first floor, the casting of the doors and windows lintels into formworks is ongoing. The soffits of the first and second-floor slabs are being plastered. The steel handrails for the ground and first-floor slabs are being prepared for fixing into position.

Timeline: As at 22nd of July - 26th of July, the steel handrails placement process has commenced

Challenges: There are no significant challenges in the construction works of this block.

Block D (TY Danjuma Block)

Update: The backfilling of the ground beam cells has commenced. The construction of the superstructure has reached the raising and casting of the reinforced concrete columns on the first-floor slab.

TimeLine: As at 22nd of July - 26th of July, the program of work is being followed.

Challenges: There are no significant challenges in the construction works of this block.

Block E (Block)

Update: The construction work is still at the substructure stage. The casting of the ground beam has been completed and the formworks are being struck off the cast beam cells. The backfilling of the ground beam has commenced.

The situation with TimeLine: As of the 22nd of July - 26th of July, the program of work is being followed.

Challenges: There has been no significant challenge in the construction works of this block.

Block F (Alumni Block)

Update: The construction of the superstructure has reached the casting of the second-floor slab after the making of the formwork and electrical/mechanical services sleeves.

The situation with Timeline: As of the 22nd of July - 26th of July, the casting of the second-floor slab has commenced.

Challenges: There has been no significant challenge in the construction works of this block.
